God’s Covenant of Awesome Power

And He said: “Behold I make a covenant. Before all your people I will do marvels such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation; and all the people among whom you are shall see the work of the LORD. For it is an awesome thing that I will do with you. Observe what I command you this day….

Exodus 34: 10-11

Prayer Focus: If God’s intended purpose for His people are to pour out His blessing and bring healing to His land, then we can be assured that the world will be astounded when he moves His mighty hand. When God promises to use His awesome power and perform wonders, we can only hang on for the ride! What God desires to do in the healing of the land cannot be envisioned or even “helped along” by man. When God demonstrates wonders never seen before, only, He will get the glory and credit. Our role is to humble ourselves in obedience to Him. God’s covenant promise in this passage is in response to Moses desperately pleading with Him for forgiveness of iniquity and sins. There are places in the world today that are eyewitnesses to God’s healing and restoration. If your unbelief and disobedience are holding Him back, may we find ourselves, as Moses did, on our faces before God, worshiping with all our hearts!

Praise God for His awesome power and display of mighty wonders throughout creation.
Repent of any places of unbelief in your heart.
Invite God to show you areas of disobedience in your life, and then determine to walk in right relationship.
Ask God to increase your vision to pray toward His wondrous works that will display His glory.
Pray that believers in our church will grasp a vision for God’s power beyond what they can see now.
Pray that leaders in our church will pursue God with passionate and repentant hearts.
Pray that our community will one day be a “showcase” for God’s awesome power and wondrous works.
